Tag: Ice Maker Repair

The most common problems that occur with an ice maker are a failure to make ice, a failure to stop making ice, and the unit freezing up altogether. Californian weather makes you drink a lot of ice drinks. However drinking your soda without ice is not enjoyable.
How an ICE MAKER works?
An ice maker receives water through a small, 1/4-inch water supply line that runs from the refrigerator to a water pipe (or a water filter), where it is connected. The water supply line leads to the water fill valve in the refrigerator, which is controlled by a thermostat. The fill valve sends water through a fill tube into a mechanized ice maker assembly that includes an ice mold. This is where the water freezes.
