I stumbled upon Pacific Coast Appliance Repair through Yelp. The reviews seemed positive enough, so I thought I’d give them a try. I had a dryer issue that needed immediate attention, as laundry for a young family of 5 was piling up quickly! It is an older Whirlpool dryer, so I wasn’t sure initially if it was worth the cost of repairs. After calling a number of other companies, Pacific Coast Appliance Repair seemed the most reasonably priced. Leo was able to provide an estimate over the phone, which was helpful! When I explained my urgent situation to him he fit me into his schedule that afternoon. He was extremely professional, clean and totally knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem immediately and said it would be fixed in time for my son’s basketball game. Not only did he fix the issue, but he vacuumed and cleaned the inside parts of the dryer (which had NEVER been done!). He was congnizant of the dust and debris he might have left behind, so he cleaned up totally after himself! He was very courteous, coming on time, and prepared with all the parts that were required to fix the problem. Ok…so this all happened about 2 months ago (and to my shame, I never wrote a review on Yelp). Anyway, fast forward to today. Our oven was not igniting as it should (it was blowing gas into the oven without a flame – slightly dangerous!). Immediately I called Leo to see if he was available to check it out. Just as before, he was able to schedule something the same day. He arrived on time and was just as professional as my first experience. He gave advise on good appliances vs troublesome appliances (should I ever need to purchase a replacement), tightened electrical wiring and checked on the ignitor issue. Since he technically never replaced anything, in my opinion, his fee was more than reasonable. I cannot recommend this company enough. I will hang on to all my “old” appliances instead of buying new, because I know it will be more cost effective in the long run if Leo services them.
